The teachers and students of Tsinghua Affiliated High School went to the UK to carry out research activities
From February 1st to 15th, under the leadership of two teachers, Wang Baoqin and Lu Bizhen, 21 students from the High School Attached to Tsinghua, together with 20 teachers and students from Chaoyang School of Tsinghua High School, went to Britain for a two-week research activity。
In this activity, the students participated in the study of English courses at Oxford English School, and successfully completed the regular learning tasks and drama rehearsal tasks。In the spare time of learning and exchange, the students visited the two top universities of Oxford and Cambridge under the guidance of foreign teachers, as well as many places with a long history and profound cultural heritage, including Warwick Castle, Windsor Castle and Bath City, and experienced the pure English afternoon tea。At the same time, the students also visited London, visited the political and cultural buildings represented by the Parliament Building and Westminster Abbey, felt the economic leisure life represented by the London Eye and Oxford Street, and investigated the scientific and historical places represented by the Natural History Museum and the British Museum。During the two weeks in the UK, the students lived in the local host families in Oxford, completely integrated into the pure British culture and life, and got great exercise and improvement in language learning, cultural perception and interpersonal communication。Their excellent performance has won unanimous recognition and praise from teachers at home and abroad。The students also said that in this activity, they challenged themselves, developed their abilities and gained a lot。
